About this course
Michael continues discussing the Customer 360 table build process, focusing on the transaction data pipelines. This lesson delves into the attributes of the customer, emphasizing that this logical section of the Customer 360 table is more about how the customer has behaved or will potentially behave with the brand. Implementation can choose from a library of out-of-the-box attributes or define custom attributes. The lesson then transitions to discussing the transaction data pipeline, where multiple source systems containing transaction information are unified using semantic tags. Two key tables are created: the Unified Itemized Transaction table, which contains itemized transaction data such as product, quantity, and unit cost, and the Unified Transactions table, which summarizes information at the order level. Additional calculations are then used to build the Transaction Attributes Extended table, allowing for insights to be derived for each customer, such as total value, average order revenue, and time gaps between orders.
